We are an active corporate citizen in the societies where we operate. We believe that we can create lasting value by engaging with partners that develop societies and at the same time support our business strategy.

We believe that the future lies in the youth of today and therefore we want to focus on investing in young people and their education. In addition, we continue to focus on improving digital equality in society, strengthening digital competencies and skills among disadvantaged groups.

Our selection of partners is based on community-need assessments made in co-operation with local business operations. Our societal engagements give our employees the opportunity to take part in these projects and do good for the society around us. 

Key Societal Engagements so far

Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF)

The PMNRF renders immediate relief to families of those affected by natural calamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and the victims of the major accidents and riots. Assistance from PMNRF is also rendered to partially defray the expenses for medical treatment like heart surgeries, kidney transplantation, cancer treatment, acid attacks, etc.

The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur

The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur has been rendering welfare services to the extremely vulnerable tribal communities who belong to the “Maria tribe of Abujhmarh” in Chhattisgarh since its inception in 1985. Tietoevry India is helping this cause by donating funds to their 30-bedded hospital at Narainpur with OPD, Pathology, X-ray, USG, Dentistry, Blood Bank, Physiotherapy and other facilities.

Lila Poonawalla Foundation

Lila Poonawalla Foundation is an Educational Trust whose vision is to contribute to the empowerment of Indian women by supporting academically outstanding and financially deserving girls, through scholarship to pursue higher education. Our partnership with Lila Poonawalla Foundation goes beyond supporting the girls’ education financially through employee volunteering, mentoring, providing industry exposure & supporting employment opportunities.

Uplift Mutuals

This Indian non-profit provides health and medical aid to low-income Families. We have been in contact with them since 2012. In 2019, we worked pro bono developing and providing Uplift Mutuals with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. The solution, named Uttam, replaces manual work needed for health insurance claims. Going forward, we will help launch Uttam as a mobile solution, supporting Uplift’s expansion to larger communities.

Identity Foundation

This charitable trust works in Pune, working with socio-economically challenged children. We have supported Identity Foundation's Mobile Learning and Infotainment Centre (MLIC) buses since 2007. In the two mobile learning and infotainment buses children can get literacy as well as life skills education. The MLICs also serve as information facilities by giving children an exposure to positive entertainment and providing useful information.

Sustainability is both a responsibility and an opportunity for us. We consider the social, environmental and economic aspects of it. We cover not only our operations, services and solutions, but also our partners and suppliers. In our operations, we continuously examine ways to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of our activities. Diversity and equality are high priorities within our company and integral parts of our culture. The biggest impact of our operations, however, takes place through the use of our services and solutions. By helping our customers implement solutions that minimize environmental impact and create positive socio-economic impacts, we make a real difference.
