Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama

The Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission was founded in 1897 by Swami Vivekananda with an aim to work for the good of the world while striving to get spiritual experience. The branch center of Ramakrishna Mission at Kozhikode, Kerala, called Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, was started in 1930 and serves the local underprivileged community through its higher secondary school and a polyclinic. The co-educational school was started primarily to impart education to the local underprivileged girls. It has a strength of more than 3000 boys and girls.
